SCIENTIFIC WILDLIFE OBSERVATION EXPEDITIONS

Our Journey

Neotropical Herping was born from a simple idea: the best way to know nature is to experience it in the field. We organize immersive wildlife observation expeditions across Brazil's main ecosystems — from the open savannas of the Cerrado and the grasslands of the Pampa to the forests of the Amazon and the Atlantic Forest. Our trips are designed for those who want to go beyond conventional tourism: explore, learn, and encounter wildlife up close, in their natural habitat. Founded by a field biologist with over a decade of experience researching reptiles and amphibians across different Brazilian biomes, Neotropical Herping combines scientific knowledge, local expertise, and a deep passion for biodiversity. We guide small groups through carefully selected environments, searching for snakes, amphibians, birds, mammals, and many other species, always sharing the ecological stories of each landscape. Whether you are a photographer, researcher, or simply a nature lover, our goal is to provide authentic, safe, and unforgettable experiences with the extraordinary wildlife of the Neotropics. More than tourism, it is exploration, discovery, and connection with nature.
